Most event tools are built for full-time staff with a budget. Car shows are usually run by a handful of volunteers giving up their weekend. Car Show HQ is built for them: plain language, big buttons, and nothing to install. If the treasurer can send an email, they can run the show.
It helps that the person building it is standing in the same field you are. Features here tend to start as something that went wrong at a real show: a stray entry from a declined card, a judge who could not read a clipped label, somebody at the gate without a phone.
