How many classes should a car show have?

Eight to twelve for most shows, plus two or three special awards. Too many classes is the most common first-year mistake: twenty classes with three trophies each is sixty awards to buy, judge, and announce, and half go to classes with two cars. Start tight, watch the registration counts, merge thin classes two weeks out.
